Explore the ruins of Nunney Castle
Though ruined, Nunney's dramatic great tower is very well preserved. Its four round corner towers and connecting walls are tightly encircled by the castle moat. From lavender to irises and clematis to gladioli, you’ll discover plenty of plants to grow your own garden design with. Head back to Hestercombe House after completing the trail and visit the Gallery upstairs, where you can find items that once belonged to the great gardener Gertrude Jekyll herself.

Autumn at Lacock Abbey
As the fading summer sun paints Lacock Abbey with rich, warming hues, September and October are filled with magical moments. Apples fill the trees in the orchard, and thoughts of bonfires and toffee apples fill the air. Winding back the clock in the abbey clock tower reminds us to create unforgettable moments with those we love. Check their website for opening times and prices for admission.
